Who we are
AIDentistry (Signal Desk) is an independent editorial site for practice owners comparing AI tools — not a patient practice site, not a vendor blog, and not a ranking marketplace. Editorial judgment sits with the editorial desk. Sponsors do not write or approve reviews.
Editorial independence
- Tool write-ups, comparisons, and case studies are editorial. Sponsors cannot buy a ranking, a review outcome, or a “winner” badge.
- We may decline or remove placements that conflict with reader trust — including scare tactics, urgency pressure, or misleading clinical claims.
- Case studies mark Claim vs Checked so reported vendor numbers are not confused with what we verified.
How paid units are labeled
- Every paid unit is labeled Sponsored or Advertisement — clearly, near the content, not buried in a footer.
- Sponsored guides and newsletter slots follow the same labeling rule.
- Mutual cross-promotion cards are labeled Sponsored, the same as paid units.
Evidence labels
Every “Did it work?” case is tagged with the strongest kind of source we used. A higher level means stronger evidence about the claim. It does not mean a better product, and it never reflects payment.
- Level 1 · Vendor case study. Written and published by the company selling the tool.
- Level 2 · Operator-reported. A practice or group leader describing their own results.
- Level 3 · Organization evaluation. A health system or group measuring its own rollout, often at scale, rarely randomized.
- Level 4 · Randomized trial. Clinicians randomly assigned to use the tool or not, against a reference standard.
Inside each case, Claim means a number as reported by someone else. Checked means we opened the public source and it says what we quote. Limits holds anything we could not verify. Regulatory clearance (for example an FDA 510(k)) is a fact we can check. It is not a ranking.
Corrections
- If a source does not say what we quote, we fix the page and add a dated note at the bottom of it.
- Vendors can send corrections with a public source. A correction request never needs a sponsorship.
- Send corrections through Contact.
What sponsors buy
- Visibility — placements, featured directory slots, newsletter presence, category partner packages.
- Never rankings — directory order for unpaid listings, editorial scores, and “best of” style outcomes are never sold.
- Rates on Advertise / Sponsors pages are estimates. They are not quotes, income projections, or promises of traffic.
Affiliate disclosure rule
If we add an affiliate link later, we will disclose it next to that link or in a clear page-level note. We do not invent affiliate relationships. As of Oct 31 2026, there are no affiliate links.
Honesty rules
- We do not claim audience size or revenue we do not have, and we do not use countdowns or scarcity language.
- No scare tactics. No manufactured FOMO. Calm copy for busy clinicians.
- Directory rows marked “Sample” are placeholders, not real vendor listings.
